about

Reno Divorce returns with 6 brand new songs, following up their critically acclaimed 2016 EP, "Ship of Fools". This outing was entirely recorded, engineered, and produced by the band themselves, and teams them once again with Jason Livermore for mixing and mastering, respectively. This comprehensive collection of music shows the band is willing to take risk without overreaching and are as comfortable behind the board as they are in front of it.

lyrics

Ana Lee, Ana Lee
Don't make a fool out of me
Here at the alter where I stand
With my mother’s wedding band
Waiting on a bended knee
Ana Lee, Ana Lee
So much for your guarantees
When I needed you the most
You've left me like a ghost
With just your memory

My heart beats like a hundred drums
When the stroke of midnight comes
I'll know where we stand
You've led me to an empty room
The future that I once assumed
Is slipping through my hands
Sentenced to a living hell
Under your spell and your command

Ana Lee, Ana Lee
Bring your love back to me
I've spurned a lover who was true
Burned a bridge with her for you
Now become my bride to be
Ana Lee, Ana Lee
Why must you bring misery?
You woke me from a restless sleep
Set your hooks in me so deep
Only death could set me free

This stabbing pain in my gut
Reminds me of the knot you cut
I realize your deceit
Tricked into a game I couldn't win
A victim of your lustful whim
A plaything for you to cheat
Without pride and dead inside
An empty hide, crumpled at your feet

My heart beats like a hundred drums
When the stroke of midnight comes
I'll know where we stand
You've led me to an empty room
The future that I once assumed
Is slipping through my hands

I see won’t tomorrow
It all ends here tonight
I can't face the music
You've proved everyone right
Love rears its ugly head
Under this motel’s neon light
Ana Lee!
